Herbicide Spot Spraying - green on green
Rumex in Seed Grass field

Docks in seed grass: hit every plant, not the whole field.
Docks are among the worst weeds in seed grass. The deep taproot keeps regrowing, and the seed ends up in your harvest, where it is hard to clean out. So the whole field usually gets sprayed, even when the docks cover only a small part of it.

This field went differently. A drone flew all 22.80 hectares and CultiWise found every single dock plant in the grass. The prescription map then covered only those plants and a little area around each, 1.32 hectares in total. The map worked out the spray volume in advance, so the operator mixed exactly what was needed and nothing was left in the tank.
The docks got the full herbicide dose and the clean grass got nothing. That meant 94.22% less herbicide, a saving of €48.30 per hectare.
Every dock hit, with 94.22% less herbicide.
