Stand assessment for replanting decisions
A 21-minute drone flight was used to map the sugar beet field at high resolution, enabling precise, plant-level detection. The imagery was processed in CultiWise into a detailed detection map of every sugar beet plant, providing accurate insights into plant density and highlighting weak and productive zones—an especially valuable tool during a late-frost season. In this case, the field average of 101,346 plants/ha was sufficient to continue cultivation, while in low-density situations, the same data support replanting decisions.
Result:
Reliable plant-level detection with clear stand assessment, avoiding unnecessary replanting and enabling targeted management of strong and weak zones.
