Herbicide Spot Spraying - green on brown
total herbicide weed cleanup

Before seeding: spray the weeds, not the bare soil.
Before soybean seeding, the field has to be cleared of any weeds that have come up. The usual way is a total herbicide over the whole field. But on bare soil, weeds only grow in spots. Here they covered 21 of 211 hectares, so a full pass would have put 90% of the herbicide on bare ground.

A drone flew the field and CultiWise found every green patch on the bare soil. That became the prescription map, and the Agrifac Condor with 0.25-metre sections sprayed only those patches. The map worked out the spray volume in advance, so the operator knew how many tanks to mix before leaving the yard. Fewer refills, and nothing left in the tank.
The field went into seeding clean, with 90.04% less herbicide and less time on the sprayer.

A clean seedbed, with only 21 of 211 hectares sprayed.
