Variable rate Growth Regulation
Oilseed Rape Overwintering & Development Control

Efficient growth regulation for uniform overwintering
For oilseed rape to successfully overwinter and maintain optimal dormancy, it’s crucial to prevent the plants from excessive top growth and entering the flowering stage. However, plants even on one field grow at different speeds during the fall. Some may be small and need to grow bigger to survive overwintering easily, some are optimal, while others need their growth slowed down to avoid winterkill.

This is where applying a growth regulator becomes essential, especially on the taller, more developed plants. Smaller plants would not benefit from growth regulation; they would experience unnecessary stress, and applying the product in these areas would be wasteful.
Drone-collected NDVI data highlights denser, more developed canopy in green areas and smaller plants in red areas. This allows us to create a variable-rate growth regulator application tailored to the crop’s growth stage.
The field was divided into four zones based on this data. In the green zones, a higher dose of growth regulator was applied to pause growth, while the rate was significantly lowered in the red areas.
The operator received precise information on the amount of growth regulator required based on the prescription map and proceeded with spraying the field.

Growth regulator volume savings, more efficient use of resources, and a treatment perfectly adjusted to the current state of the crops, ensuring the best results after overwintering.
