Herbicide Spot Spray — Green-on-Green
Rumex Control within Seed grass field

Targeted herbicide application for Rumex control
For seed grass canopy with sparse Rumex infestation, spot spraying selective herbicide is highly efficient. By targeting only individual weeds or weed hotspots, you significantly reduce herbicide, fuel, and machine time costs. This approach also minimizes crop stress, preserving yield, quality, and seed purity without compromising weed control efficiency. Additionally, it’s more environmentally friendly and helps ensure compliance with EU regulations and restrictions.

Rumex
The field was mapped using drone imagery to capture a clear snapshot of its current state, allowing us to distinguish Rumex from grass. Using CultiWise, supported by AI, we identified each Rumex plant within the field. This enabled us to create a prescription map, ensuring that herbicide treatment is applied only to the infested areas, while the clean grass remains untouched.

Prescription map
The prescription map, detailing the required herbicide amounts, was then sent to the sprayer operator. The John Deere sprayer applied the precise amount of herbicide, minimizing waste and ensuring efficient weed control.
With a 94.22% volume saving, herbicide use was minimized, ensuring efficient weed control while preserving grassland health and significantly reducing costs.
